DRANG
A peaceful collective act born from the noise, fear, and urgency that unfold every New Year’s Eve in Berlin.
New Year’s Eve in Berlin is not just a celebration — for many, it is a night of fear, tension, and creatures in panic.
It shakes our streets.
It enters our homes.
It lives in our bodies.
And every year, it repeats.
The noise. The smoke. The harm.
Unspoken. Unseen. Unresolved.
DRANG was born from this silence, a peaceful, creative response to a night that wounds the city.
If you feel this night in your home,
in your body, or in your loved ones, human or animals around you —
DRANG transforms that feeling into something powerful, peaceful, and shared. ☻
Be part of a quiet revolution.
Help shape the future of this city,
one conscious act at a time. ♥
What is it
DRANG — from the German word for urge, impulse, inner drive — is our heartbeat. It rises from what shakes, burns, and demands care. A peaceful rebellion, a call to feel before reacting.
DRANG turns this urge ✶, this pulse ❤︎ , into a creative, bold, raw, and peaceful act of response.
A collective witnessing of a city in tension.
It is not a protest.
It is not a spectacle.
It is a creative agency:
a way to observe, feel, document, and transform what Berlin experiences every New Year’s Eve.
Through images, sound, text, and atmosphere, DRANG creates an emotional archive, a shared document of:
• the fragility of our environment
• the fear lived by animals, communities, and emergency workers
• the silence after chaos
• the resilience found in unexpected places
DRANG turns awareness into art, care into action, and a night of harm into meaning.
The Call
If you feel the noise of New Year’s Eve in your body, your home, or the animals around you — DRANG gives you a way to transform that feeling into something powerful, peaceful, and collective.
You are invited to document what you see, hear, or feel:
- drifting smoke
- abandoned or shaken streets
- calm after chaos
- animals seeking shelter
- fear, resilience, or tenderness
- reflections, shadows,
- atmospheric details
- stories, memories, poems, or silence
Your contribution doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be genuine.
Every submission becomes part of a collective archive for future exhibitions, publications, and artistic acts across Berlin.
Help shape a new cultural response.
Be part of the shift.
Anyone can participate.
If you see it, feel it, or hear it, you can document it.
What to capture
Use your eye and your heart. Document what emerges when celebration meets consequence and when chaos meets care.
